GGR shows Faresin telehandler battery range

Lifting solution specialist, GGR Group, launched the new Faresin telehandler battery range at Vertikal Days 2022, held in May at the East of England Showground, Peterborough, UK.

The batteries have been showcased in three 6.26 full electric telehandlers, the world’s first electric telehandlers, which were launched by Faresin in 2019.

On display was the 330ah – 10% up from the previous 300ah – boasting run times of up to 6 hour, charge times of 2 hours and 26.4kw/h consumption, the 440ah – 10% up from the previous 400ah – with run time of up to 10 hours, charge times of 2 hours 45 minutes and 35.2 kw/h consumption and the massive 560ah with run times of up to 20 hours, charge times of 3 hours and 40 minutes and 44.8 kw/h consumption.

We have seen it working on key infrastructure projects and a notable customer base including local authorities, Tier 1 contractors and leading plant hire companies. In addition to the exposure that we have had through the success of the initial rollout, we have gained invaluable feedback from customers and dealers to share with the manufacturer.”

We also have the alternative fuel debate going on in the background, especially in relation to motor vehicles. In response to the electric / hydrogen debate directly, this latest innovation leans on the side of electric.”

“To date, the use of electric for high-use equipment such as telehandlers, diggers and dumpers, has only been pushed in relation to smaller kit. Hydrogen has previously been seen as the only acceptable method of alternative power for anything on the larger side. With a 560ah battery telehandler with run times of up to 20 hours on the market, it’s time to rethink that. Larger equipment is coming and it’s battery powered.”
