Vetter Krantechnik, optimises packing space

ESM Energie- und Schwingungstechnik Mitsch GmbH (ESM) from Heppenheim, Germany, specialises in the field of vibration technology. The innovative rubber/metal compounds produced by ESM are used in wind energy plants all over the world and are an important part of the energy transition. Vetter Krantechnik contribute to this having supplied several ErgoLine light-weight crane systems to support the picking and packing processes at ESM. Here, various components for wind plants are prepared for transport.

In the past, wall-mounted slewing jib cranes were used at ESM, but their limited operating radius strongly limited the usable area. Now, the  ErgoLine systems are used instead, which are mounted side by side. With a height of 5m, a total of 18 packaging places were created, today, the company benefits from a much larger available space. A highlight are the double supports with jibs on both sides, which provide even better use of the available space. Accordingly, a total of four fields with one gantry each were installed for optimum space utilisation.

A special feature of the ErgoLine system is the combination of steel and aluminium where the advantages of the respective material are required. The elegant reinforcing steel profile, which is mounted on the aluminium gantry to reduce deflection above a certain span and thus enable higher capacities, is striking.

Ergonomics have been enhanced significantly for the employees at these workplaces, since the operation of the crane system ErgoLine is much easier and provides for perfect working conditions when handling the goods.
